History of Our Organization
Christian New Creation, Inc. (formerly Catholic New Creation, Inc) is a Non Profit 501(c)3 public charity Texas corporation, formed in 2002. It was formed to meet a definite need for a highly structured Christian faith based nonprofit transitional living facility, dedicated to rebuilding the lives of Christian men coming out of Texas Department of Criminal Justice(TDCJ) state prisons and Harris County jails. With that vision, a Board of Directors was formed and major fundraising began.
In July 2007, Isaiah House opened to our first residents at a leased housing facility on North Main Street. In November 2008, Isaiah House moved to our present facility located on Ashworth Street. In 2010, Providence House was gifted to us.
Today we have 2 housing facilities with a total combined capacity to serve 30 residents.
Isaiah House and Providence House are Non-Contract residential transitional living facilities approved by the TDCJ Parole Department. We provide housing for our Christian brothers transitioning from incarceration. Today we are recognized as one of the best transitional housing facilities for ex-offenders in the State of Texas.
Over the last two years the organization has undergone many changes, including a name change, a new director and staff, and additional board members. In addition, we are modernizing our processes and adding additional programs and enhancements to better develop and educate our residents.
